Tried and tested

I use some sort of hydrating balm in the morning (right now itโ€™s Sunday Riley Blue Moon Tranquility Cleansing Balm), and then in the evening I always double-cleanse, first with an oil (either Shu Uemura or Simple) and then a cleansing cream or milk. Iโ€™m not too fussed with the brand, just as long as it doesnโ€™t leave my skin feeling stripped.

Rationale Proceramide Cleanser washes away the dayโ€™s dirt and make-up but still leaves my skin hydrated and soft.

QV Gentle Facial Wash is a low cost product which I feel does the job perfectly.

I donโ€™t think you can beat Dermalogicaโ€™s Daily Microfoliant. Itโ€™s gentle enough for my sensitive skin and leaves me feeling bright but not over-buffed. Iโ€™m a big Clarisonic evangelist too, so when I use that a couple of times a week I stick to a cleansing oil โ€“ Shu Uemura is my favourite.

Vanessa Megan Prebiotic C Brightening Exfoliator is gentle enough to use every day and most days I am. Itโ€™s a dry powder you can mix with water to your preference, making for either a soft and gentle scrub or heavy duty

In the warmer months I like to use Ultra MD Ultimate Brightening Foaming Cleanser, but now that winterโ€™s here Iโ€™m looking forward to switching to Eve Lomโ€™s cleansing balm to nourish my skin and simultaneously melt make-up away. Twice a week I exfoliate using Dermalogicaโ€™s newish Daily Superfoliant, which I love.

I just use Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser as I find my skin doesnโ€™t react any differently to flash, expensive products, but would love to try the Drunk Elephant range as Iโ€™ve heard itโ€™s amazing.

Grown Alchemist cream cleanser or Clinique Pep start exfoliating cleanser I have found have worked best for my skin.
