‘Bachelorette’ Becky Miles’ Long-Distance Relationship With Rumoured Winner Pete Reportedly Doesn’t Last Long

Apparently love doesn't conquer all

They’ve been the couple tipped to walk off into the sunset together at the end of The Bachelorette Australia, but new reports suggest that Becky Miles and Pete Mann don’t last very long once the finale wraps up… like, not at all.

According to The Wash, the couple quickly ended things after just a few days, once they realised that neither Miles or Mann were willing to eventually relocatewhich seems like something you’d discuss before getting serious, but we digress.

Mann, 34, currently lives in Adelaide, SA, where he runs several cafés, while Miles, 30, works as a defence contracting specialist in Newcastle, NSW. Neither were willing to move states, and it seems long-distance wasn’t quite worth a shot.

A source told The Wash, “Pete doesn’t ever want to leave Adelaide and Becky never wants to leave Newcastle, it’s as simple as that really.”

The news comes after it was speculated that Miles was very much single after updating her relationship status on Facebook.

While Mann was pegged as a front-runner since day one after having the only obvious chemistry with Miles, it was somewhat confirmed after a spike in betting odds suggested he was the ‘winner’.

When discussing their possible future together in a recent episode of The Bachelorette, Mann was forthcoming about the fact that he was heavily invested in his life in Adelaide, but asserted that he believed  “love conquers all.”

“My family, they’re in Adelaide now—my brother and my parents. And my youngest brother, just over two years ago, had a brain injury and it was really serious—like, it was life-or-death stuff and he’s still recovering from that,” he said, explaining that he hopes to build up his business so that he can eventually step back and help his parents take care of his brother.

“There are still some things that we need to work out around moving and who lives where and how that all works. But I believe that love conquers all. If the feeling is strong enough and the emotions are real, we’ll make it work,” he (now ironically) concluded.

Given his idealistic views on long-distance, and recent reports that he’s been spotted looking downcast, we wonder if Miles was the one to pull the plug on their relationship.

But we suppose we’ll just have to wait until the finale…
