We’re officially one day away from The Bachelor Australia 2020 finale (thank goodness), and despite the odds seemingly in one contestant’s favour, there’s a wild new rumour about Locky Gilbert’s finale that suggests it might even supersede Nick Cummin’s disastrous season finish.
Following mounting evidence that Locky is actually single, an insider has spoken to Daily Mail and said that Locky reportedly chooses a winner, is rejected by said winner and then asks the runner-up he rejected to take him back.
And while punters have largely been tipping Irena to win, it seems she isn’t the clear-cut victor that she’s been made out to be.
According to the Daily Mail, Locky — who we knew from the early trailers was going to end up in a love triangle — “actually dumps Irena and chooses Bella Varelis in the finale — but Bella turns him down because she can’t handle the fact he is also in love with Irena.”
Per the outlet’s source, Locky does a quick 180 and “begs” the 31-year-old nurse to take him back, and she “tentatively agrees to begin a relationship with him”.
Yikes.
The theory follows ongoing speculation about whether Locky is, in fact, still with the winner (are there any real winners here?).
The Bachelor, however, has been adamant that he did not “pull a total Honey Badger” (‘total’…?), and has said he is head-over-heels for the winner.
“It’s an amazing feeling – I don’t think I’ve felt love like this before,” he told Now To Love in early September.
“I wake every morning and the love is stronger and stronger, I can see so far into the future [with her].”
Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
