There’s no denying that a pinnacle week for the Australian fashion set is fashion week, where fanatics converge on Sydney’s Carriageworks event location to enjoy the latest the scene has to offer.
Afterpay Australian Fashion Week (AAFW) is famously plagued by the May weather, but regardless of the rain the country’s leading fashion experts gather to see collections from over 42 designers.
Naturally in the weather we get to see a brilliant selection of new season coats, structured tailoring and some brilliant knee high boots.
However, this year we’ve also spotted a lot of skin-baring trends, the return of the ruffle and those that are channeling that ‘stealth wealth’ French-style luxury we cannot get enough of.
