The highly anticipated first trailer for Woodshock, the Rodarte sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy’s directorial debut, has finally been released – and it’s every bit as spooky as you’d expect.
Aesthetically, you can easily spot the parallels between Rodarte’s fashion collections and the eerie, ethereal cinematography of the film.
The trailer opens with long-time Rodarte muse Kirsten Dunst wandering misty woods alone. From there, a rapid-fire sequence heightens the mystery – and suspense – as it appears Dunst’s character is embroiled in some kind of dark, drug-fuelled tragedy.
Woodshock is being produced by A24, the same studio that made Moonlight, The Bling Ring and Ex Machina. It’s being released on September 15 and We. Cannot. Wait.
