Archie Harrison Has Said His First Four Words In Quarantine

Aww!

While we’ve seen much less of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry since their departure from the royal family, we’ve been given a cute royal update on their son Archie Harrison. A royal insider told Us Weekly, “He’s saying a few words, like ‘Dada,’ ‘Mama,’ ‘book,’ and ‘dog.'” They also shared he, “loves playing hide-and-seek and using building blocks.”

Aww!

While it’s unsurprising the one-year-old has perfected ‘Mama’ and ‘Dada’ – ‘book’ and ‘dog’ also make perfect sense for baby Archie. To celebrate his first birthday, Meghan and Harry shared a sweet video of Archie reading Duck! Rabbit! The book also revealed a sticker that said ‘Archie’s book club’, meaning he’s already quite the avid reader – and as the video shows, a pro at turning the pages.

Archie reportedly loves the family’s two dogs, Guy the beagle and a black Labrador whose name Harry and Meghan are yet to reveal. The dogs are his “best friends,” a source told People, adding, “They make him laugh and are gentle with him.”

Earlier this year, the Duchess of Sussex revealed during her event at Robert Clack Upper School that Archie has “started trying to walk.” She also touched on his impact on her: “Having Archie changed my life,” she said.

A friend told People at the beginning of April that Archie is a “cute” and content baby. “Like everyone, they [Meghan, Harry, and Archie] are adjusting to [social distancing], being cautious and safe,” the source said. Archie is “teething and is a happy baby. I’m sure he is happy to be in the California sunshine.”

E! got additional details about Archie’s life in quarantine, including that he adores video calls. Archie has been “loving doing FaceTime playdates with other small children they have in their lives,” a source said.
