By now, any fan of Sex And The City would surely have devoured—and probably rewatched—the current six episodes of And Just Like That‘s first season.
For those who have done so, there’s likely an air of familiarity with the nonbinary, comedian and podcast host Che Diaz, played by Sara Ramírez. And even more so, many might also remember a particular scene from the reboot’s fifth episode involving Diaz, Miranda Hobbes, Carrie Bradshaw‘s kitchen and a bottle of Snapple.
Well, the scene caused such chaos online that the internet has deemed it, and Che Diaz themselves, worthy of (many) memes.
For those unaware of what went down onscreen, allow us to explain. Taking place in the fifth episode, titled ‘Tragically Hip’, Miranda was looking after Carrie after she’d had hip surgery, which left her needing help to use the bathroom. While Carrie is taking a nap, her doorbell rings. And here is where the internet went bananas.

“Hey, it’s Che Diaz”, the intercom proclaims, to which Miranda excitedly responds, “Oh, okay it’s Rambo. Come on up.” From there, let’s just say things, well, sexually escalate and they end up doing the deed—uncomfortably loudly. Carrie then wakes up to use the bathroom, discovers them, and is forced to quietly and painfully drag herself out of bed to relieve herself.
It is through Carrie’s shock, awkwardness and immediate flight response, that the meme gained its wings.
Of course, the internet’s reaction wasn’t in disgust of Miranda exploring her sexuality. But rather, there was a public disapproval that Miranda was cheating on Steve and that both she and Diaz (loudly) took part in sexual explorations in their friend’s home, with said friend in the next room *and* while said friend desperately needed their help.
Now, the internet is making comedy about a comedian, using Diaz’s first and last name greeting as its new favourite punchline.
