A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms is a Game Of Thrones prequel, which means it takes place before the events of Game Of Thrones.

In terms of timelines, A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms takes place around 100 years before Game Of Thrones.

This is also about 100 years after the events of House Of The Dragon.

What Is A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms About?

A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms is adapted from George R.R Martin’s novella The Hedge Knight, which follows the story of the knight Ser Duncan The Tall and his young squire Egg.

The official logline reads: “A century before the events of ‘Game of Thrones,’ two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.”

The story will see the pair meet members of the Targaryen dynasty, including including Prince Aerion Targaryen, Prince Baelor Targaryen and Prince Maekar Targaryen as well as a knight known as the Laughing Storm, Ser Lyonel Baratheon and a puppeteer called Tanselle.
