There have been a spate of tragedies at Westfield shopping centres across the country in recent months, and now it has been confirmed there has been another death.
Police confirmed that a man died on Tuesday afternoon at Westfield Bondi Junction shopping centre after suffering from cardiac arrest near the children’s play area outside Woolworths on level 3.
Police, detectives and ambulance officers were quick to the scene and set up a barrier to shield the body from the public.
New South Wales police confirmed it was a medical incident and that they are preparing a report for the coroner.
This comes just three months after the body of 71-year-old Bernard ‘Butch’ Gore was discovered inside a stairwell of the busy shopping precinct.
Last month a woman also plunged to her death from the roof of Westfield Miranda.
