Gigi Hadid’s Cali-girl cool – all fresh-faced glow, perennially bronzed limbs and enviable arches – is the stuff #beautygoals are made of. Who doesn’t have multiple screenshots of her matte nude lip (a Gigi signature), smoky eye and those waves saved onto their phone for future reference?
Eye-wateringly good genes aside, one would assume that being Gigi demands a vigilant approach to skincare – we’re thinking 12-step routines, more products than you can count and the kind of high-tech treatments only found in LA.
But speaking to Allure, Gigi confesses that her beauty routine is actually surprisingly simple. Given she’s pampered and preened by the best in the business for work, on her days off she takes a lo-fi approach, relying on a swipe of nude lippy and just one skincare staple: St. Ives Apricot Scrub.
“It’s been around because it’s the best,” Gigi says of the product we used religiously from Years Eight to 10. Who didn’t sneak the stuff into their mum’s trolley during the weekly grocery shop?
Like all ‘90s gems, perhaps it’s time St. Ives Apricot Scrub made a comeback. We’re not surprised Gigi loves it: the oil-free formula is free from parabens and phthalates, isn’t tested on animals and contains walnut shell powder as a natural exfoliant. For nostalgia’s sake (and Gigi’s), we’re adding it to cart.
